Why This Workbook?
Author, Ed Major explains… Comparing what I was doing in the work place, in the field of education, and what I was seeing in most adult and teen-age Bible classes, I recognized that there was a big disparity in how we taught our students at work as opposed to how we handled our Bible classes. In Bible study we simply were years behind the best and most current learning techniques. As a rule, most churches have not provided their Bible school teachers with any tools to help them in the teaching process. We have not educated our teachers.
That is why this workbook has been written, to begin to build the skills and confidence of our Bible school teachers. I have tried to take the best in my own training and put as much as I could in this workbook. I believe that these techniques have worked for me the teacher and for my students, to increase the retention rate of whatever material is being studied as well as to make the classroom a more interesting experience. Now that’s the kind of success that I look for. Ed.
