FORGOTTEN WOMANHOOD
Author: Joanne Beckley
Price: $8.00
Description: Throughout her life, author Joanne Beckley battled for an understanding of what it means to be a woman, as God intended and expects. She went through school absorbing one image of womanhood, was taught another by her mother and grandmother, and preachers taught her yet another. These influences continued to battle each other in her mind: Who am I? Why am I here? What should I be doing? Where am I going?
Forgotten Womanhood is a study from the Scriptures to diligently weed out as much confusion as possible, to understand our own motives, attitudes, and pride, and then to replace them with a purity of purpose in serving God as a woman. 13 lessons, 71 pages.

Comments:
Our Ladies’ Bible Class just finished Joanne’s excellent book, having extended the study over parts of two years. This is possibly the first “ladies” workbook I have used which has actually stretched me. So often I find them very shallow, and while all Bible study is worthwhile, it was refreshing to be pushed to truly use my brain and to consider more deeply the implications of what it means to be a Christian woman. Frequently Joanne’s questions have no right or wrong answer but are there to make you think beyond a pat, surface reply. It is obvious that she spent many hours of study and soul-searching in preparation for writing this material. May God bless her with many more fruitful years in His service. - Carla Chapman, Mt. Pleasant, Texas
