True Definition

A gardner may view a friend
as a vine that twines itself
around us and hides the rough
places in our personalities
under its lush growth.

A nurse may reckon a friend
as a soothing salve that heals the
scrapes and lacerations of life.

A dealer in fine gems and
jewelry might liken friendship to a
strong link in the golden chain
of life's experiences.

Yet the definition of
friendship with which all would agree
would be...a friend loves at all times.

Women of Gentle Spirit began in June 2002 as an effort to encourage women in their walk with Christ. Due in part to the increasing demand from our sisters, in 2006 we brought this publication on-line so more women could have access to this newsletter.

On our site you will find articles written by believing women on issues that speak to women today, including teaching helps, humor, and special articles from women who are partners with their husbands in spreading the gospel in foreign countries.  One of our most popular sections is the Websites for Teachers page.  We have listed over 100 websites that will help teachers in preparing for the important task of teaching God’s word to our young ones. Although we’d be shocked if we all agreed on everything that our authors say, we are always trying to make sure that the tone and foundation of our material is biblical and uplifting.

Thank you for visiting our website.  We have regular updates each month, and we’d love to hear your comments and suggestions, so stop by any time.
